Solar Skills

Empowering Ireland’s Clean Energy Workforce

Ireland’s solar industry is expanding at unprecedented speed and with it, the need for a skilled, future-ready workforce. Solar Skills is Solar Ireland’s national hub for solar training, upskilling, and professional development, created to support everyone working across Ireland’s fast-growing solar value chain.

Through strategic partnerships with Armsa Academy, Green Tech Skillnet, and the Global Solar Council, we connect installers, developers, engineers, students, and employers with high-quality training and internationally aligned learning pathways.

From accredited technical courses to leadership programmes, masterclasses, and sector-specific resources, Solar Skills ensures Ireland has the talent needed to reach 8 GW of solar by 2030 and build a resilient, inclusive clean-energy workforce.

Together, we’re building skills for a cleaner future.

This course is designed to help utility- and commercial-scale solar development, project, and construction professionals apply the EU Directive 92/57 EEC and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 to boost effectiveness, efficiency, and safety across all asset lifecycle phases.
This programme equips Engineering, Construction and Asset Managers with a holistic view of the asset lifecycle and the impact of strategic, tactical and operational decision-making on safety and asset performance.
The IOSH Strategic Safety for Renewable Project Developers programme equips project developers, managers, risk professionals, legal specialists, procurement teams, and contractors with the skills to make informed decisions in early- and late-stage development of solar, battery storage, and onshore & offshore wind projects.
