Leanne Donovan is a Senior Policy Analyst at Solar Ireland, supporting the organisation’s policy and regulatory engagement across Ireland’s rapidly evolving energy landscape. Leanne brings five years of experience across Irish and European energy and environmental policy. She began her career at EirGrid, where she gained hands-on experience working across interconnection and electricity market teams, contributing to projects focused on system development and cross-border energy cooperation.

She later worked as an EU public affairs consultant advising clients across Ireland and the European Union on energy and environmental policy. In that role, she supported organisations to navigate complex regulatory frameworks, engage key EU stakeholders, and develop strategic communications on energy transition issues.
