Renewable Energy Expo Ireland 2026
Renewable Energy Expo Ireland 2026 | Wind, Solar and Energy Storage Event in Dublin
A new national meeting point for wind, solar and energy storage
Ireland’s renewable energy sector is entering a new phase of delivery.
Over the past few years, renewable generation has expanded rapidly across multiple technologies. Solar capacity has grown significantly, with installations increasing dramatically since 2023 and solar now contributing meaningfully to Ireland’s electricity supply.
At the same time, wind energy continues to play a central role in the electricity system, while battery storage and hybrid technologies are becoming essential to balancing the grid and integrating higher levels of renewable generation.
As these sectors grow and increasingly interact, the need for shared industry platforms has never been greater.
That is why Renewable Energy Expo Ireland is being launched in 2026.
Ireland’s new flagship renewable energy exhibition
Renewable Energy Expo Ireland will take place 21–22 October 2026 at the RDS in Dublin.
Delivered by Solar Ireland in partnership with Energy Storage Ireland and Wind Energy Ireland, the event will bring together the full renewable energy ecosystem under one roof for the first time.
The Expo will create a national marketplace where developers, technology providers, investors, policymakers and service providers can connect across the entire renewable energy value chain.
Rather than focusing on a single technology, the event reflects the reality of the energy transition: wind, solar and storage are increasingly developed together as part of an integrated energy system.
Why this matters for the solar sector
Solar energy is now one of the fastest-growing sources of renewable electricity in Ireland, with deployment expanding rapidly across rooftops, farms, businesses and utility-scale projects.
As solar capacity continues to grow toward Ireland’s 2030 renewable electricity targets, collaboration with other technologies becomes increasingly important.
Solar farms are increasingly being developed alongside battery storage.
Commercial rooftop systems are interacting with new electricity markets and flexibility services.
Hybrid renewable projects are emerging as part of a more dynamic electricity system.
Renewable Energy Expo Ireland will provide a platform where these developments can be explored collectively — bringing together the companies delivering the technologies, the policymakers shaping the framework, and the investors financing the transition.
For Solar Ireland members, the event represents an opportunity to:
Showcase solar technologies, services and expertise
Connect with partners across wind, storage and grid infrastructure
Engage with policymakers and regulators shaping the sector
Build relationships across Ireland’s renewable energy supply chain
What to expect
Renewable Energy Expo Ireland will include:
6,000m² of exhibition space
150 exhibition stands
A Main Stage conference programme
A Business Lounge for senior networking
A Government of Ireland Pavilion
International technology pavilions
A Research Hub highlighting emerging innovation
The two-day conference programme will explore topics including:
Renewable electricity market outlook
Policy and regulatory developments
Grid integration and flexibility
Project delivery and investment
Technology innovation across wind, solar and storage
A platform for the next phase of Ireland’s energy transition
Ireland’s renewable energy industry has evolved rapidly in recent years. What began as separate technology sectors is increasingly becoming a shared ecosystem of generation, storage and system integration.
Renewable Energy Expo Ireland reflects that shift.
By bringing together wind, solar and storage in one national event, the Expo aims to create a central meeting point for the companies, innovators and policymakers delivering Ireland’s clean energy future.
Solar Ireland is proud to partner in the delivery of this new industry platform and looks forward to seeing strong participation from our members across the solar value chain.
