Renewable Energy Awards 2026 finalists announced
The finalists for the Renewable Energy Awards 2026 have been announced, recognising the projects, organisations and people making an impact across Ireland’s rapidly evolving renewable energy sector.
Delivered in partnership by Solar Ireland, Energy Storage Ireland and Wind Energy Ireland, the awards celebrate achievement across the renewable energy industry, from community initiatives and skills development to innovation, grid delivery and major solar and wind projects.
This year’s shortlist demonstrates the breadth of work taking place across the sector, with finalists selected in Renewable Energy in the Community, Responsible Energy Leadership, Excellence in Renewable Energy Supply Chain, Workforce & Skills Development, Renewable Energy Project Enablement, Grid Innovation & Delivery, Renewable Energy Innovation, Solar Rooftop Project of the Year, Utility Scale Solar Project of the Year, Wind Project of the Year and Young Industry Person of the Year.
The shortlists for Best Energy Storage System Supplier and Champion of Renewables will be announced separately.
Solar Ireland members recognised across the awards
Solar Ireland is particularly proud to see so many of our members represented among this year’s finalists, with members recognised well beyond the dedicated solar categories and across community, skills, innovation, project enablement and the wider renewable energy supply chain.
In the Solar Rooftop Project of the Year, sponsored by Fáilte Solar, all three finalists are Solar Ireland members: Pinergy Solar, Activ8 Solar Energies and Alternative Energy Ireland.
The Utility Scale Solar Project of the Year, sponsored by Bank of Ireland, also has strong representation from our membership, with Perigus Energy, Statkraft, Natural Power and ESB & Bord na Móna shortlisted for their respective projects.
Solar Ireland members are also represented across many of the wider award categories, reflecting the increasingly diverse expertise within Ireland’s solar industry and the role our members play across the wider energy transition.
