Member News: Power Capital advances delivery and secures EIB-backed solar investment

Solar Ireland member Power Capital Renewable Energy has reported continued progress across its portfolio in early 2026, with a focus on project delivery, safety and community engagement.

During the quarter, the company successfully energised the Mainscourt and Ballymoneen projects, adding new renewable capacity to the Irish grid. It also secured European Investment Bank (EIB) funding to support solar developments across Clare, Wexford, Tipperary and Wicklow, reinforcing long-term investment in its pipeline.

Across the business, women now represent 37% of the workforce, alongside ongoing recognition for performance in safety and wellbeing.

Power Capital continues to advance multiple projects through planning and pre-construction, while maintaining strong engagement with local communities, including support for Carrigtwohill United AFC, funding of a sensory garden at FCJ Secondary School in Bunclody, and participation in STEAM education initiatives with Junior Achievement Ireland.

Looking ahead, the company’s focus remains on safe delivery, grid readiness and long-term asset performance, alongside continued growth across its renewable energy portfolio.
