Member News: Ohk Energy has launched AiO Konnect
Solar Ireland member Ohk Energy has launched AiO Konnect, a new all-in-one solar and battery system developed specifically for Irish homes and grid conditions.
The system brings together a hybrid solar inverter, modular lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery storage and an AI-powered energy management platform, designed to give homeowners greater control over how they generate, store and use electricity.
Unlike systems adapted from other markets, Ohk Energy says AiO Konnect has been designed around Irish conditions, including variable weather, colder winter temperatures and local grid requirements.
Solar and storage in one system
AiO Konnect allows households to combine rooftop solar generation with battery storage, enabling more of the electricity generated during the day to be stored and used when it is needed.
Storage capacity can be expanded from 5 kWh up to 82 kWh per inverter, allowing the system to evolve alongside a household's energy requirements.
The system also includes an energy management platform that uses AI to forecast solar generation and household consumption and determine how electricity can be used most cost-effectively.
Homeowners can monitor solar generation, battery charging and system performance through a single app.
Designed for Irish conditions
AiO Konnect has been engineered with features intended to improve performance and reliability in Irish conditions, including IP65 protection for outdoor installation and integrated battery cell heating for colder temperatures.
Each battery pack also has an independent Battery Management System, meaning other batteries can continue operating if an individual unit experiences an issue.
Ohk Energy will provide installation, technical support and aftersales service directly in Ireland.
Gearoid Whelan, CRO at Ohk Energy, said:
“AiO Konnect is built for our climate, our grid, and our homes, with full local installation and aftersales support.”
The launch comes as solar and battery storage become increasingly interconnected within Ireland's energy transition. As more households generate their own electricity, the ability to store and manage that energy can help increase self-consumption and provide households with greater flexibility over when they draw electricity from the grid.
AiO Konnect is the latest example of innovation emerging from across Solar Ireland's membership as companies develop new solutions for Ireland's rapidly growing rooftop solar and energy storage market.
