Member news: Amarenco secures €130m investment to support solar and storage growth
Solar Ireland member Amarenco has secured €130 million in preferred equity funding to support the development of new renewable energy projects in Ireland and international markets.
The investment forms part of a capital increase agreed with Arjun Infrastructure Partners, with additional support from BNP Paribas, and is intended to strengthen Amarenco’s balance sheet as the company continues to expand its solar and energy storage portfolio.
In 2025, Amarenco delivered more than 600 GWh of renewable electricity, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 125,000 homes.
According to the company, the new funding will help accelerate the development of additional solar farms and storage projects, supporting Ireland’s clean energy transition while enabling further growth across the company’s international operations.
