A national celebration of progress, innovation, and clean energy leadership

We’re proud to share that Solar Ireland and Wind Energy Ireland have joined forces to launch the first-ever Irish Renewable Energy Awards—a landmark celebration of the people, projects, and partnerships driving Ireland’s clean energy transition.

From a single wind turbine on the coast of Mayo in 1992 to the energisation of Ireland’s first large-scale solar farm in County Meath in 2021, our sector has come a long way. Today, solar and wind power are reshaping our energy system—cutting emissions, creating jobs, and building energy security.

In 2025, we’ll shine a national spotlight on the changemakers and innovators behind this transformation. These awards are the first to jointly recognise excellence across both wind and solar—bringing together the pioneers shaping a cleaner, more resilient future.
