Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on customer sites including commercial and utility-scale solar PV systems
- Testing and maintenance of MV transformers, relays, and cables
- Testing of system components to ensure efficient operation and function
- Diagnose faults in solar systems and preform corrective actions
- Monitor system performance using software platforms and address system issues and underperformance
- Clean solar panels and remove any obstructions or debris that may affect efficiency
- Coordinate site visits with clients, maintaining schedules for inspections
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, service reports, and repairs
- Ensure compliance with company safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory codes
- Perform system upgrades, retrofits, or component replacements under own initiative
- Collect data for energy audits on site and input into auditing
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years’ experience on renewable energy projects or MV projects in an electrical installation, maintenance or engineering role
- Experience in MV installation, termination and testing
- Strong understanding of solar electrical systems and components
- Full clean driving license
- Willingness to travel to job sites
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland
- Good verbal and written communication
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Keen interest in renewable energy and infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or qualification in:
- Electrical Craft
- Engineering (Electrical, Energy, Instrumentation)
