Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on customer sites including commercial and utility-scale solar PV systems
  • Testing and maintenance of MV transformers, relays, and cables
  • Testing of system components to ensure efficient operation and function
  • Diagnose faults in solar systems and preform corrective actions
  • Monitor system performance using software platforms and address system issues and underperformance
  • Clean solar panels and remove any obstructions or debris that may affect efficiency
  • Coordinate site visits with clients, maintaining schedules for inspections
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, service reports, and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with company safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory codes
  • Perform system upgrades, retrofits, or component replacements under own initiative
  • Collect data for energy audits on site and input into auditing

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 years’ experience on renewable energy projects or MV projects in an electrical installation, maintenance or engineering role
  • Experience in MV installation, termination and testing
  • Strong understanding of solar electrical systems and components
  • Full clean driving license
  • Willingness to travel to job sites
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Keen interest in renewable energy and infrastructure projects

Qualifications

  • Degree, diploma, or qualification in:
  • Electrical Craft
  • Engineering (Electrical, Energy, Instrumentation)
