Homeowner SEAI Grants are available for a 4kw system covering 25% - 35% of the cost of the installation.
Grant aid to funds up to a 4kWh solar system using an intelligent battery system that will work throughout the day to ensure minimum consumption from the grid.
Costs are based on the cost of installation of a 4.2kWp (up to 4200watts per hour) solar system; This can produce up to €800 worth of electricity a year, reducing your annual bills. The panels have an expected life of over 50 years, making it the best return on your investment, generally accepted at up to 15% per year.
The installation costs may includes a battery which is required to capture the energy output. This stored energy can then be used after sunset.
